La Cangreja National Park takes its name from the eponymous peak situated among the mountains, reaching a height of 1305 meters and dominating the entire park. An indigenous legend tells of a large crab that, having settled on the peak, prevented the passage of local inhabitants until a warrior managed to cut off one of its claws, turning it into stone.
